As the name suggests, water bugs live in water and they can commonly be found in swimming pools. On the other hand, cockroaches are adaptable creatures and they have the ability to live in different conditions. In other words, cockroaches are not aquatic insects like water bugs. Adult stage is the final stage, where most of the body developments take place.
